With Christmas around the corner, we've been hard at work raising awareness for Texas' new Merry Christmas law, which I sponsored and passed during the last legislative session. This Monday, I appeared on FOX & Friends with Host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
That same day, joined by several of my colleagues and my son, Reagan, we hosted a press conference at the Capitol to remind and educate Texans that it is OK to say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Hanukah" in our public schools. Reagan's story of decorating a "holiday tree" with "holiday ornaments" at his elementary school was the impetus of the bill.
Please help me spread the word and put Christmas back into our public schools by forwarding this article to all of your family and friends.
I want everyone to know that YES, you can celebrate Christmas in Texas schools.
I appreciate your support and wish you a Merry Christmas!
